2000. Organized 2000 Short Course and Forest Industry Workshop on Unbiased Parameter Estimation for Inventory Projection Models.  Nov. 29-30, 2000.  Jekyll Island, GA. 

1999.  Presented a short discussion to the SAFIS Technical Advisory Committee during the meeting on May 20, 1999 on technical aspects of inventory updates with growth and yield models.

1999. Organized  the First International Conference on Measurements and Quantitative Methods and Management & the 1999 Southern Mensurationists Meeting.  Jekyll Island, GA, on November 17-18, 1999. (Over 70 participants of this conference were in title to 10.5 hours of SAF Continuing Forestry Education Credits).

2001.  Moderating a session of the Conference on Forest Modelling for Ecosystem Management, Forest Certification, and Sustainable Management. IUFRO conference titled: “Forest modeling for Ecosystem Management, Forest Certification, and Sustainable Management”, held in Vancouver, Canada, Aug. 12-18, 2001.

2000.  Presented invited lecture on advanced fiber supply assessment methods at Instituto Superior de Gestao, Lisboa, Portugal.

2000.  Gave a series of presentations to different groups of faculty at the Faculty of Forestry, Agriculture University in Warsaw, Poland.

1999.  Gave a Seminar on Forestry in Georgia during a meeting at the National Institute of Forest Research in Warsaw, Poland (5/28/99).

1999.  Participated in organization and moderated a session of the 12th International Conference of Mathematical and Computer Modeling & Scientific Computing in Chicago, IL, USA. August 2-4.   

1999.  Participated in organization and moderated session of the 1999 International Conference of the Western Mensurationists. Penticton, B.C., Canada. June 21-22.

1999.  Organized and chaired the First International Conference on Measurements and Quantitative Methods and Management, Nov. 16-18, Jekyll Island, GA, USA.  The conference secured the participants in total over 600 hours of continuing education credits.

1999.  Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the First International Conference of Measurements and Quantitative Methods and Management and the 1999 Southern Mensurationists Conference (reviewed/edited 43 abstracts for acceptance to the conference).

1998.  Served as a moderator and was involved in the organization of "An International Conference on the Inventory and Monitoring of Forested Ecosystems", Integrated Tools for Natural Resources Inventories in the 21st Century. August 16-20, 1998, Boise Center on the Grove, Boise, Idaho, USA.

1999-Present.  Developed and maintained the Website of the Fiber Supply Assessment Research and TIP3 Sustainability Analysis.  The Website includes enhanced functionality Web-Mirrors of the USDA Forest Service FIA Data Retrieval System for the Southeast region.

1999-Present.  Developed and maintained the Website of the Southern Mensurationists’ Organization (http://www.mensurationists.com/).  Published numerous publications and presentations on this website.

Served as Organizer and Member of the Southern Mensurationists’ organization.

Served in the University of Georgia International Fellowship Program.

Participated in the University of Georgia Consul Meeting.

Served as Member of the recruitment at hoc committee for the Forest Landscape Planning and Harvest Scheduling position.
